Charcoal barbecues and rotisseries: Can I use logs or lava stones?

Unfortunately, you cannot put logs or lava stones in our barbecues or rotisseries.

But why ? Our products are designed to be used with charcoal and can only withstand the heat generated by this type of combustion.

In fact, to use lava rocks on a gas barbecue, the product would need to be designed differently, with an additional grill/level to accommodate them.

Also, logs will cause flames, creating much more heat on the walls and for longer. Eventually, the paint may become damaged or even flake off (except for enamelled barbecues such as Georges).

Charcoal gives off much less heat because it is piled up in the middle of the barbecue ; it burns slowly and is much more suitable for grilling.
