Is your parasol leaning? Do you want to prevent the fabric from fading or do you need to replace a part? Here are all the answers from our experts.
1. My cantilever parasol is not straight, is this normal ?
YES, this is completely normal!
Don't worry, it's not a manufacturing defect. The base of our offset parasols is deliberately tilted backwards.
Why ? This technical tilt creates a counterweight effect when the parasol is open, ensuring optimal stability and better wind resistance.
2. Installation and Ballasting : The right steps
To ensure safety, proper ballasting is essential. Here's how to install your slabs and bases correctly.

3. Fabric maintenance: Stop fading !
Parasol fabrics are subjected to harsh conditions (sun, moon, rain). Here's how to prolong their brightness and lifespan.
Why is my fabric fading ?
The main cause is exposure to UV rays (sun) and moonlight. Pollution, dust and humidity can also dull the fabric or cause mould to form.
Cleaning (once per season)
- The gentle method : mix warm water and mild soap (such as Marseille soap).
- How to do it : rub gently with a soft-bristled brush.
- Mould ? Add a little white vinegar to the water to disinfect without damaging the colour.
- Rinsing : rinse thoroughly with clean water and leave to dry completely in the open air.
- Do not use aggressive chemicals or powerful pressure washers.
Protection and storage (essential)
- The cover : this is the secret to longevity. Put on a protective cover whenever you are not using it (even at night!).
- Waterproofing : after cleaning at the end of the season, you can apply a waterproofing/UV protection spray for outdoor fabrics.
Winter storage :
- Ensure that the fabric is completely dry (otherwise, beware of mould!).
- Fold the parasol correctly.
- Store it in a dry, enclosed space (garage, shelter) for the winter.
